I bought a 94 cavalier RS (6cyl) about five years ago for $2500. Mileage was 45,000 when I bought it. You can say the car has been good to me (or...I've been good to the car). I'm at 135,000 now and: The driver side window doesn't work The rust around sides of the car are... (let's just say the mechanic is weary of putting it up on those stilts that raise the car). Other than that, it's a good car. Basically, gas prices are high and I want a new car that will likely be as reliable as my 94 Cavalier. I'm looking at : Hyundai Accent GL Hyundai Elantra GL Chevrolet Aveo LT Dodge Caliber SXT Mitsubishi Lancer Nissan Versa Suzuki SX4 Volkswagen City Jetta Please post your choices and reasons. 'Tanks'

Toyota Corolla 4 cyl, 1.8 L, Automatic 4-spd, Regular 6.1 NA 27 city 35 hwy $2018 I'd know more if I was in the market myself but this car seems like it would be the best bet for bare bones transportation, good history. I'd seek simplicity for the uncertain next decade of what we'll look back at as the best choice. Tough call, T
