So here's the scoop I been trying to get my dads car going again. He says it just died on him. They towed it to a garage. Changed the plugs and a wee bit after he drove away. So like 2hours later it dies on side of highway leaving us to go an load him onto a trailer to get him home... Valve pressure is low in all cylinders. Gas is an issue I used shops guage an well we apaerntly lose pressure rapidly indicating leak..so I checked by plugging off my lines an it definatly is from leaking by injectors or fuel pressure regulator thingy on fuel rail... Where as car won't start can someone help me??????? How do I test for the constant click of each individual injector to indicate its workin to rule out bad or faulty ones?? Car ran a1 prior to stopping and there was no smoke from exhaust to indicate blown gasket. Fluids are all still ok. Etc. its a 1.6l Nissan sentra 98.

You should read this. Post your results including the numbers from your compression test. Also scan the engine controller and see if any trouble codes are stored. The more data you can give us the better direction we can have in helping you determine what your culprit is.

Re: nissan sentra 98 Sign In

the computer only read the faulty part hooked into the pollution gear. that has been fixed and no new codes came up. computer was clear. as far as doing the tests to narrow things down that has been done. I'm pretty confident it is the injectors as I did the tests your showing me, previously. I just do not know how to test injectors without being able to make it run currently. do you know how to do that?

No, you don't know it's injectors until you run those tests to see what is functioning and what isn't.
