Get license and place both hands on the steering wheel with window down. Request permission to move your hands. Admit guilt and let the cop know that he is the boss...and apologize!!!
Let them know that you appreciate the danger of their job, and that is why you placed your hands and extended the courteousy and kindness to anyone in this line of work.
Killing people with kindness works for me... if not that bust out that FOP card!!!

Usually admitting fault works for me and apologizing.. unless you run into a real #$%^&%$ of a cop.. But i know all the OPP(Ontario provincial police) in my area and party with them too lol..
