2000 gmc 2500 wont continue to run

2000 gmc 2500 with a 5.7 vortec engine at a little over 200,000 miles will not stay running . what would cause this?

FIRST SCAN AND POST ALL CODES. YES EVEN IF cel IS OFF.

when I try to start the pickup the engine starts right up then after a second or two it dies. So I repeat to start it time after time only for it to die repeatedly. once it actually ran and I drove it for a 100 mile round trip

Sierra, Yukon, Van? 2 or 4wd? Any aftermarket equipment installed such an alarm system or remote start? Security indicator flashing or on when your attempting to start the engine?

Do you have a security light on or flashing when trying to start it?
If not, then test fuel pressure using an accurate gauge. The4 spec is 60 to 66PSI and that is critical

You can't. It's integrated into the operating system. The computer will not turn the fuel on without the correct password.
