Dropped bolt in timing assembly, HELP"!

Okay, so my 2007 Saturn Ion needed a new water pump, and being the tight-wad that I am decided to have a mechanically inclined friend do the work; while following a DIY video. After attaching the special tool needed for this repair he was removing the bolts (NOT using a magnet tool) He dropped a bolt inside the timing cover assembly. So NOW what?[ Personal info deleted

Now you pay the price for letting an inexperienced person do the work.
The bolt has to come out one way or the other. If you can't retrieve it with a magnet, which is unlikely, you will have to remove whatever parts are necessary to access the bolt whether it be the timing cover or possibly the oil pan.
