I have a 1999 Taurus station wagon. I recently turned the heater on, but cool air is coming out. The blower seems to work ok, but just blows cool air. Can anybody tell me what's wrong and how to fix it ? I will be ever so greatful. Thank you for any help

It the moon phase this week! Kidding. Start with making sure coolant is full at the radiator and the recovery tank in range,

Re: Heater blowing cool air Sign In

taurus has 2 known problems for this concern-
one is a faulty temperature blend door and the other is a clogged heater core due to the design of the heater hoses.
run engine to operating temperature (thermostat open)top hose hot to the touch, check the heater hoses -both should be hot.if only one is hot the there is a restriction (clog) in the heater core-back flushing the core usually takes care of it.if both are ok the check the blend door operation-ford has a bulletin on this .hope this helps....
