hello all i bought a 1993 geo metro on the front of the car i have a radiator with a circular fan in front of it and to its right another radiator looking unit with a fan both are not working or spinning any idea how to fix, what to do, what parts to look for.... and i have a tube going to my antifreeze reservoir from the right side fan/raditor and then a tube coming out of the reservoir into nothingness... on left side of the engine i have three pulleys running, there is two more pulleys lower down and more to the front of the car that are not running and have no belts i believe this to be my water pump and idk what else its an automatic 3cy, so where to start, what to do, car runs i drive it and all but im afraid it will just break down if i dont figure this out please help tyvm i can post pictures later if needed..........
Also i wanna redo this car into a high performance car engine and all nyone know where to start on this project.... i wanna race her, but she needs to be converted to a manual first (fan of drifting wanna make her a drifter), first is first though i need to get it into good working order tyvm.

Pulleys with nothing probably are for A/C and probably not needed if you don't need A/C again but who knows what or why exactly on those.

Fan(s) are for engine's cooling system radiator and a second probably for the radiator called a condenser for A/C which appear about the same.

Hose to recovery tank to radiator maintains the engine cooling system full, takes overflow from expansion and returns it when it cools down if all is normal. The one to nowhere is overflow if engine overheats, that tank is over filled or other problems just directing the mess away it could make but not supposed to be actively doing much.

Fan for cooling system no doubt waits till it is needed and off when not needed. Most when anything is triggering A/C compressor to engage would force a fan to its "radiator/condenser" to come on and stay on. If A/C is otherwise all electrically connected (could be disabled due to a failure) a dedicated fan for just that would cease to operate. I just don't know the exact layout but would believe more of these cars came new without A/C at all.

If not overheating and radiator for engine is staying full this could all be normal. If overheating and no fan then chase down why in a hurry if not too late for damage to occur,

T

Tom got you on track with the cooling system. This car was made and designed from the beginning to be a rattly econobox with a small weak engine that could deliver high gas mileage and have a dirt cheap sticker price. If you want to drift this isn't the car to build. Not much of anything on the aftermarket for this because the car would fall apart if you even could get much power out of the engine. The engine in my motorcycle is bigger that this one. Also, drifting a FWD sucks. You want a rear wheel drive to take advantage of being able to steer by throttle and break loose the rear end in a controlled manner. Look at Supra's, 3000GT, Celica, RX-7 and S2000 as good models to build from with a heavy amount of aftermarket mods readily available to make this anything you want it to be.
