Ronald J. Szretter Ronald J. Szretter Ronald J. Szretter HUDSON Ronald J. Szretter, 66, of Hudson, formerly of Natick, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at his home in the loving care of his family after a courageous battle with cancer. A Hudson resident for the past seven years, Ron was born in Framingham, the son of the late John W. Szretter Jr. and Claire M. (Kadlik) Szretter. He was the husband of Pamela (Linane) Szretter for the past 16 years. A graduate of Natick High School in 1962, Ron served in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Vietnam War. Following eight years of service in the Army, Ron completed his education and obtained a B.A. in business administration from Alabama Christian College in Huntsville. Ron eventually moved back to Framingham, becoming the owner of Law Enforcement Maintenance for more than 25 years, a business started by his father. Ron is survived by his children, Gary (Joyce) of Huntsville, Ala., Debora of Natick and Greg of Palmer; his stepchildren, Stacy Ramsey of Hudson and John Ramsey of Framingham; six grandsons and four granddaughters. He is survived by his sisters Claire Eaton of Amesbury, Darlene Lynch of Billerica, and Dr. Patricia Jacobs (Steve) of Natick; his sisters-in-law, Dana Szretter of Colorado Springs, Colo., Cheryl (Jack) Beasley of Natick, Karen (Glenn) Galasso of Salem, N.H., and Christine (Shawn) of Coventry, R.I.; his brothers-in-law, William Linane of Merrimack, N.H. and Dennis (Marcy) Linane of Westborough; and his mother-in-law, Mary Linane. He was the brother of the late John Jack Szretter of Colorado Springs, who passed away in June 2008. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and loved and respected by many others. Funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common), Natick, on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 11 a.m. to be followed by his Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patricks Church, 44 East Central St., Natick at noon. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rons memory may be made to a charity of ones own choosing.
