Maybe the site installed some new software................ A "crap filter" is long overdue. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I don't have that problem with this site, some others i do. I just think my PC is getting old, it's 6 years old i think and it was only like a 3 or 400 dollar computer new. I've tried to do a system restore and a few other things but, nothing seems to help. -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!

All, Site needs some adjustments and haven't been able to or enabled to fix anything here. Ya - been logged out a few times and hard to get back in? IDK what that's all about and been here from the get go. Been looking at the new computers too Scotty. Half the bucks and now 6GB drive and up to 850 GB memory! OMG - it only took ONE GB worth of data to put man on the moon in 1969! Scary if you were alive then with skimpy technology put the Eagle right on target! (Eagle was the luner landing module if you didn't know) The wire wheeled like mesh to drive around was supposed to be 4X4 but only two worked - something you just don't hear about and was one of a kind thing built to spec by GM. GM also realeased it's infamous "Vega" the next year. Who the hell was engineering this stuff? Man - all aluminum engine block that wore out in 30,000 miles shooting oil out the tailpipe! Back: Months upon months can't contact owner of this site and no clue why? Just hang in there and if site crashes out I hope we can find each other (the regulars that is) and move on. Carry on as they say, Tom

They made a Cosworth (sp?) that was/is collectible. Here the dang body on those rusted out while you watched! Laugh, pull up a lawn chair with your fav beverage and watch it. There it goes, almost up to the door handle! That car had to be in the top 10 worst cars ever made and was supposed to be state of the art for the time - WRONG, Tom

I've never owned one but, all that i hear about them isn't good. The only thing i hear there good for is being tubbed out and made into a drag car. lol so I'm guessing they don't weight much.? -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!

Shape was right to fake with fiberglass or whatever but when I used to frequent the drag-ways and funny cars they were not very original. Guess: New the car weighed about 1,800 pounds. 1/3 of a real car and still got piss poor gas mileage! A GM miracle and we bailed them out for crap like this? No further comment on the ignorance of that part. Worked a few and obviously dismayed, Tom

Lets see if i can 'member some of the good stuff . You had to pull the master cyl or the steering rack to get the starter off. You had to remove the a/c compressor to get acess to the distributor. THe timing belt was only good for 30k TOPS . But usally the crank pulley bolt broke before that . It was left hand metric thread. Requireing a special tap that you would never use again . Alignment consisted of turning the ball joints 180. The eng leaked oil like a BP oil well .This wasn't a car designed by a committee it was designed by the janitor. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH

Yeah, I don't like them just from all i heard about them, and they aren't even a nice looking car in my book. I do like corvair's though (again never had one but, dad did years ago), I like them because they remind me of a vw bug. and you can't tell if they are coming or going haha. -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!

RT - stop making me laugh like that as the SRS system of my computer chair can't handle it. Too funny, Tom

The corvair ,at least in the turbo spyder setup was a fair challege for tang's and roo's. It had ONE TINY Flaw . I drove a friends once. Bear in mind it was a rear eng/transaxle car with a huge trunk in front . The car was basically shaped like a wing. As you approached the century mark on the speedo the front would start to flutter(can you say READY FOR TAKEOFF)? Two 50lb bags of cement was standard equipment. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH

Corvair: Flat air cooled mid engined six and correct, with some side wings would fly! Tom
