My 2005 Chevy Suburban came out of "drive" while going down the highway. I was running it 2Hi when this happened, I got pulled over and stopped then selected Auto4 and it has been driving fine in Auto4 since then. When I went back to 2Hi, same as before it won't go. While in Auto4 the rear wheels still appear to be getting power, in other words I don't feel it is pulling with only the front wheels in Auto4. I am assuming the Transfer Case is bad but wanted another thought or two before I start the long process of pulling it out and tearing it apart. Any ideas or suggestion would be great.

It's an old thread already and probably fixed. I suggest you register, sign in, allow Private Messages in your profile, and ask what happened. The forums are open to all and we all benefit if someone posts the fix which wasn't done in this case, T

Hey 'chance if yoiu had made a new post you might get some responses. Jack up your rear axle and put on jackstands. With truck in TWO WHEEL DRIVE. Start , put in gear and verify power going to wheels . When you stop one the other should spin. Post back with results. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH
