I have a 1982 chevy c10 pickup and I want to replace the 305 motor with a larger one. What would you suggest for the larger motor and where would be the best place to find one? Thank for your advice.

A 350 would bolt in without any mods. As far as the source that depends on your budget. Rebuilt ones aren't too bad on price for that and if you want used you gamble. Could look around local classifieds and call some salvage yards. If buying private party its a good idea be able to hear it run, or else be a victim buying a blown motor. May even find a running vehicle with one that is a good engine but a bad vehicle. Pull the motor and make some money back by scrapping the rest of it.
