1988 Toyota pick up Wont Start Sign In

Hello im looking for some help on my 1988 Toyota pick up,

The other day i was heading to friends house and it stalled on me, tried starting and it would go but then quit couple sec later ( like it was out of gas ) i tried starting it again right after and nothing, i let it wait for 5 mins try it again and it starts to go like before but then quits. So i get it back home and disconnect the fuel lines to the tank and hook 12v straight up to tank to see if it was the fuel pump and fuel came flying out of the line so it cant be the fuel pump... So i replaced the fuel pump relay and EFI Fuse and it still wont start, But unlike before it wont go at all not even for couple of sec.

Any help would be great.. i am having trouble trying to figure out the problem and ive come to a dead end.

Engine size : 4 cylinder 2.4L Electric Fuel Injected 333,000km

1st thing to do would be to see what is missing, spark or fuel?
Get a spark tester & check spark.

Spray some carb clean down the throttle plate & see if the engine starts...... That will tell you which area you need to be looking at...

thanks for the reply, i have already did that, it has tons of spark and it does start when i spray into the air box.

Ok....So it's a fuel problem...

A couple of quick things you should do is check pressure with a gauge and also injector pulse with a noid light. I know you said you saw fuel coming out of the line but that doesn't tell you pressure & 5psi will spray fuel

If all that checked out I would take a look at the fuel. There is no good test for fuel to see if it will burn or not that I know of....If in doubt I usually hook up my injector cleaning kit & see if it will run off the cleaner (but that is pressurized to what I set it at) A lot of great minds here, maybe someone will jump in with a good trick they use........

If it got to this point, definitely take a sample in a clear container. Water in the fuel is obvious, even to someone who has never seen it.....

One quick side note.....If you have no pulse, try disonnecting the injectors one at a time and if you get pulse back then the one that you disconnect that gave you pulse back is shorted..........
