My a/c in a 2003 suburban with a 5.3 gas motor started making strange noise then the belt broke a friend suggeted replacing tensioner. (A/C has its own belt and tensioner) I replaced the tensioner and the tensioner broke. Then I replaced the compressor dryer orphis everything. The a/c cooled great for a very hot day.next day wife gets in it turns on the air and the tensioner breaks again whats the deal?

Sounds like you have the old liquid slugging in the compressor going on and breaking the tensioner. There is a TSB (technical service bulletin) on this you might want to check it out. /gforum.cgi?url=http:///gforum.cgi?url=http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/tsb/data/03-01-38-019a.pdf GM supposedly redesigned the replacement compressor so it doesn't basically hydrolock on oil, so you might want to make sure the compressor you installed is the updated version. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
