I am having problems with the battery going dead when the truck is just setting in the drive way What could be causing it to drain down. I have a code of P0449. I put a amp meter in line with the battery and it draws 500ma. Could the plug to the solenoid be causing the battery to drain down? Also the truck has a very bad vibration when driving then smooths out at 50 mph and then it doesn't vibrate when I leave off the gas or go down hill. Any advise would be helpful.

You listed 3 different, unrelated problems. Please list separate questions for separate problems.

This one will be the battery draw.

There is a procedure for finding a battery draw like that.

You will need a digital ammeter and a jumper wire with clips on the ends to do this.
First rig any door switches so you can have a door open without triggering the interior lights and unplug the hood light. Remove one battery cable and attach the meter in series between the battery cable and battery post. Take the jumper wire and also attach it the same way. Leave the jumper wire on for at least 30 to 40 minutes to expire all the automatic timers. Now remove the jumper wire and read the meter. Anything over 50ma is too much draw. The way you locate this is to start removing fuses one at a time until the meter drops to normal level. This will be the circuit with something staying on. Determine what components are part of that circuit and check them individually until the problem is isolated.

I took a reading like you said and I got 49ma. The battery load tested at 500 cca. so we will see if it goes dead again in a few days.

Just a question and notation: CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) is what a new battery should be marked with mean what amps it can do at 32F. If test was with it charged and warmer than that should have been lots higher unknown exactly but maybe if 70F or so would read 800+ possible if any good. Going dead, flooded lead-acid common batteries cuts time off their life and or capability - just FYI,
