2010 FORD F-150 FX2 5.4L V8. THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL FLASHES RAPIDLY AND THE RIGHT FLASHES NORMAL. WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS? I TRIED TO FIND THE FLASHER MODULES, BUT I COULDN'T. THE TICK TOCK OF THE TURN SIGNAL SOUNDS LIKE IT'S COMING FROM BEHIND THE STEERING WHEEL. THANKS FOR ANY HELP.

I'm just passing by your post but one of the very easiest first things to check for is that you don't have any bulbs burned out on the fast flashing side. That fast flashing usually indicates a burned out bulb.

Did you check your driver's side mirror turn lamp? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

All bulbs "seem to be working".... Usually a bulb will either light or it won't as theres no middle ground here on these. DID you check to see if your truck is still in warranty by any chance.? DID you also visually check to see if the emergency flashers flash normally or do they also flash too fast and if so which side flashes faster.? The turn signals and the emergency flashers are all one unit located right behind the steering wheel in your steering column. Has there been any damage to the steering column such as a hard hit by any object that you know of.? Did you check your turn signal/emergency flasher fuse to see if its mounted firmly in it's position or if its slightly cocked to one side and not firmly set in place, or if it might have any abnormalities to it's appearance.?

? F-150. Likely trailer wiring either factor something or aftermarket. Check there for something wrong as it's more exposed to wet, dirt and possible damage depending on exact location and situations encountered over time or even once? T

YOU COULD BE RIGHT. I HAD TO DRIVE TO VA OVER THE WEEKEND AND DURING A STOP THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF AND WHEN I STARTED IT UP AND USED THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL IT WORKED CORRECTLY, BUT LATER THAT DAY I STOPPED AND TURNED THE ENGINE OFF FOR GAS AND STARTED BACK UP AND THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL STARTED BLINKING RAPIDLY AGAIN. OPEN GROUND, SHORT OR LUCY CONNECTION. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

That's usually due to either a bad bulb or sometimes an incorrect bulb. It happens because the resistance in the circuit is less than it was engineered for. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
