Does anyone know if I can take a 4.0 engine out of a 2000 Ford explorer and put it in a2004 ford explorer with a 4.0 engine the computer cable plugups are the same but the intake is different. The 2004 says 4.0 sohc on the engine but the 2000 does not. I would really like to get away from the timing problems on the 4.0 sohc. Thanks for any advice

No. There will be a difference to cause endless headaches if it worked at all at the age IMO just not worth that much trouble to make it all work as if it was the exact engine. Disregard just 4.0 it's different and so much more differences in how it's computer controlled, T
