sorry, 5.7 L. 4x4 throttle body fuel injectio,n. Just changed the IAC did not help, now I'm being told it may be the throttle control sensor, don't want to keep guessing these sensors are getting expensive,it has 146,000 miles, not worth alot.

There are a few different things that go wrong with these. First, you should have given the throttle body a good cleaning before changing the IAC. Get some carb cleaner and an old toothbrush and scrub the back side of the throttle plate and the inside bore of the throttle body. Some other things that go wrong are the base gaskets for the throttle body can go and in some cases the throttle body itself leaks internally. Sometimes they leak vacuum and sometimes the leak EGR into the intake. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
