Engine dies while driving Sign In

1994 Chevy Z-71 5.7 auto 4x4, 51,000 miles. truck is well kept and maintained, but twice in about 18 months or so it has died while driving it will restart after a few minutes. runs good ,never had any major problems. I don't drive this truck every day, but try to drive at least once a week.Anyone have any ideas as to the problem? Also no check engine light come on either time. Thanks

This is the ignition control module. Have no idea if this is what the cause is, but a very common cause of your symptom. Is mounted inside the distributor.
