i own a 1997 ford f-150, 2 wheel drive, v8 4.6 liter. i just changed the egr valve, spark plugs and wires and fuel pressure regulator in it. it runs and drives fine except i dont have any acceleration, it feels like im driving it with my over drive off but i am not. i dont know what is causing it to do this so someone please help me figure this one out thanks

Not sure I get you? Do you mean an even loss of power or like it isn't shifting down to a lower gear as needed?

Look at the throttle linkage and see if the grommet that holds the TV cable(kickdown) is missing. They were bad about breaking out and you will notice sluggish acceleration.

yea if i start from a dead stop and hit it, it doesnt accelerate as quick as it used to. it takes a minute for it to finally really pick up speed. and it sometimes doesnt down shift or will take a while to down shift. it wouldnt even break torque for me. and i know its not the transmission because it was professionally rebuilt.
