Possible left front wheel bearing issue

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 2 wheel drive truck with a 5.7 litre engine and auto trans. Im hearing squeaks and rattles and what seems like metal on metal sounds coming from the left front wheel. Could this be a wheel bearing giving out? Ive inspected the left side components and it all seems tight and nice. I would appreciate some advice on this. Is it something I can handle? Im somewhat savvy in the repair realm but I havent dealt with any front end repairs before. Thanks for reading. Rammbo

Most bearing failure will growl and change sound when shifting weight on turns. Your noises are more like that of a brake issue and should take caliper right off for inspection anyway. Check or have checked by a pro as needed to find this at once,
