i have a 1997 ford 3/4 ton truck that is spraying antifreeze around the fuel injection. what could be causing this.

Sometimes but rare a pin hole in a hose can do this. Best I can say is dry it all off as best you can with paper towels and look hard for the first place to show evidence, T

it looks like it is coming out of the fuel injection its self.

Really can't be coming from anything involving fuel injection as there is no coolant there.
Tough if it sprays to find it. Again as said dry it all up. Tough call but most leaks will initiate and be the highest and most forward on your engine. Run your finger under hoses and items and that usually tells.
No harm in replacing hoses which used to be a routine job back when but not so much now, Keep us posted, Tom and Cat!

had the truck pressure tested and there is a pipe inside the throttle body that is broke have to have a whole new throttle body $600.00 .

There is a coolant pipe that goes under the 5.0 engine (I think the 5.7 ford is the same)and I only did one but it wasn't all that hard. That upper manifold did need to be removed and sticky parts and cleaning gaskets was all of the work.
I did charge about $450 and that was a while ago. As said that was a while ago and TMK would have included new antifreeze and an oil change but the labor was most of it. It did take a lot of work to do that right, Tom and Cat!

I own three of these and when a customer had a problem with that tube I could NOT find a good way to bypass it as it involved a 3/8 line to cool upper intake. The only way I could see to bypass it was to plug that off.
Car makers can be stupid but generally will not spend a cent if not needed so that was needed. If that was plugged off to do this you will pay for that in a long run, T

it was the ford dealership who told me to do this and you are right it took a 3/8 but they said it would not hurt anything and it is under warranty but ty
