replaced the power steering pump on a 98 2500 chevy truck. after the replacement have no power steering and no power assist brakes. the pump pulley is not rubbing and all lines are connected with no apparant leaks. the brakes are connected to this system. is it possible i have been sold a bad pump or could the steering box be bad?

Sounds like ya got a bad pump..... You can try taking the control valve & spring out of the old pump and putting it in the new one....but if it was my truck, I'd put a different pump on it........... I'm assuming this is a Hydra-boost brk system....
