2002 FORD RANGER EDGE - 4 LITRE ENGINE - 91,000 KMS

ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO - NOTICED SQUEAKING NOISES COMING FROM DRIVER SIDE FRONT WHEEL, GRADUALLY THESE NOICES STARTED MOVING AROUND, SOMETIMES COMING FROM REAR, SOMETIMES SEEMING CENTRAL AND SOMETIMES FROM PASSENGER SIDE.

I WAS TOLD IT WAS AN UPPER BALL JOINT, SO I JUST REPLACED BOTH SIDES INCLUDING NEW CONTROL ARMS.

NOW THE NOISE IS WORSE, NOW I AM HEARING ALL THIS SQUEAKING NOISE BUT NOW I AM ALSO HEARING GRINDING NOISES COMING FROM THE STEERING, PULLING TO THE LEFT A LITTLE BIT AS WELL AS A BIT OF RESISTANCE ON THE STEERING COLUMN.

ANY IDEAS ON WHAT THIS IS?

frobertson; I'd take a very close look at the brakes and wheel bearings as soon as possible. Did you notice any discoloration of the rotors when you had the tires off? Does the noise change when applying the brakes or going around corners?
