I have a 1984 F150 with a 302 v8, 2-barrel carb that I am restoring. Will it be possible, in the future, to meet emissions tests should they become necessary ? This involves a bit of guesswork but I would be interested in whatever anyone has to say on the subject. trog2016.

Answer us YES! If you are restoring it to OE specifications it should meet what it was designed to achieve. Plain 2 "barrel" carb will do just fine there was one called a "VV" that I don't think was used in trucks just a little older than this and think all were recalled or altered to regular carbs. 'VV" BTW to me stands for "Variable Venturi" and a regular one doesn't do it that way just called either by "barrels" or how many ports for "Venturis" you said TWO and not four, for example, T
