I have a 2005 GMC Envoy Denali 5.3 with 97,xxx miles that is having problems with the air suspension. I driving the SUV and parking, it will always settle on to the rear axle. Once we start it up, we need to sit a few minutes and allow the compressor time to inflate the system. If we do not give it the time needed, we have a very rough ride. I need to know the best way to trouble shoot this and what to look for. Is it the shocks or a problem with the air bladder? What can I expect in cost? I am pretty handy with the tools and know my way around the engine bay, but need so help with suspensions. Any advice would be welcome.

Do you hear the compressor running? With the compressor running or when the suspension in the rear is at ride height take a squirt bottle filled with soapy water and spray the air lines, connections, air bags, and compressor head to see if you have any air leaks. The bubbles will show you any leaks.

Bought Arnott air springs via ebay for $90/each - followed instructions that can be found several places and included with the springs. My 2005 Envoy XL Denali had compressor on driver side. Raised the back end, removed left rear tire and lowered spare to access compressor. Lowered the compressor to disconnect air lines to deflate springs. To disconnect air line on the top of the air spring, use your fingernail and push down on metal fitting on old spring and pull tube out at the same time. Turned the springs counter clockwise to remove and disconnect air line. Reinstalled new one and push line in until it seats and metal o ring on air tube rests on metal Voss fitting. I did the right rear the same but I
did remove the inner fender well to access the tube easier for removal
but you might not have to do that - save time and try it first w/o
removing the fender well. Should be done in 2 hrs or less and it will
save you hundreds if you thought of taking it to a dealer.

It will also cost you hundreds if the problem happened to be elsewhere. I assume you confirmed the leak location before ordering these.
