Hello, This is a 2013 Mazda 3 GT 4-Door. About a year old with ~8k miles. A few months ago I had to stop short (60 to 0) over a short distance. My brakes made a very loud noise, like a jolting/air filled popping (anti-locking maybe?). After, when accelerating, I felt a new, rhythmic grinding (very mild) that I had not felt before. I felt it most under my left foot. There was no noise associated with this grinding feeling. Yesterday, I had to stop short again. Same thing occurred with my brakes making the noise and popping feeling. That grinding, that I had gotten used to I guess and did not feel much any more, became more intense. The rhythmic grinding feeling seems to coincide with the speed I am going in my car. I do not see any lights or errors on my dash or hear any strange noises. My tires look and feel fine. What might be causing this grinding? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

The jolting/popping was the ABS kicking in. that would be normal. The other vibration you are feeling needs to be checked out. You aren't going to find your answer online. someone (professional) needs to inspect this. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Your vehicle should still be under manufacture's warranty. You should swing into your local dealer and have them check it out. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
