Car door knocking sound when temperature rises

I just bought a 2023 Mazda CX5. I have noticed that the driver side door makes a ticking sound when its really hot/sunny outside. This noise goes away when its cloudy or when in the morning I take my car outside for the first time. This sound is coming from the driver door side possibly from the striker, and when I apply slight pressure on the door outward the noise goes away. I have to keep applying this outward pressure to stop the noise and when I remove that pressure the sound comes back. The car is under warranty and it happened twice that when I have an appointment its a cloudy day and there is no noise. Thought of writing to this forum to see if there is any quick fix like lubricating something or of that sought.

The striker may need adjusting to pull the door tighter. Make sure it's not just something on the trim vibrating on the inside door panel. See if it goes away when someone pushes the door in from the outside. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thank you. Even a slight push anywhere on the door stops it so my guess is striker. Do you think some lubricant would help or need a visit to a dealer, as the dealer visit is not different from a doctor visit these days. :)

No, this is more of an adjustment not just lubrication. It's really a 5 minute job and any auto body shop can do it.

? You just got the thing? Agree on the striker, I wonder why it's NEW so I'd take some pictures of area that latches and let the dealer or place you got it fix it. Why? Was this damaged before you got it and or a disclosure of that? Fishy something new I'd think someone just moving that thing feet would have noticed before you got it, Tom
