Noise when light goes on before moving Sign In

I have a Mazda protege 97. When it is stopped if the lights or AC is on, It makes noise, like belt noise. So I have to turn off all lights and Cooler in stop signs and red cross lights to prevent the noise. If the lights are on after driving for one minute the noise is stopped. This started after I had asked a Mechanic to renew timing and other belts. At first it was for Cooler when I used in lowest degree where the car was stopped. Now it is worse.

Please advise me how I can fix my car

Sound like a loose belt! With your accessories on it is loading the alternator, inturn making it harder to turn. If the belt is loose it will sqeal. Most likly worse when the engine is cold or on hard accelleration.

Why after I drive a while and I stop in a stop sign for a second the noise starts again.

When you stop your idling the engine down. When you take off the RPMS are going up, in turn the accessories have to "gain momentium" again.
To know for sure. Inspect the belt, or belts. Push and pull on the belt about half way between two pulleys. It sould not move more than about 3/8 of an inch.

When I pull up the belt it can come up more than 3/8 inch. Frankly I do not have too much experience with car. Do I need to go to Mechanic or I can adjust it myself. Do I have to adjust the position of alternator if answer is yes how?

If it is equipt with more than one belt. You will have to loosen the alternator bolts and tighten the tentioner bolt that runs parralell to the belt. The head of this bolt should be located on the end of the alternator bracket farthest from the engine.
If it has 1 belt it has a spring loaded tentioner that will have to be replaced.
