Hello Everyone, I have a 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 WT. The blower motor in the truck is temperamental when starting up - it will turn on and off, sometimes it will work at high but not on low. This usually lasts for a minute or so, then the blower motor works fine. Any advice on how to diagnose and fix this?

By description that would lead to the blower motor resistor. Being that it self corrects in a minute will no doubt impede diagnosing it as bad with any certainty. If that's all it does for now perhaps just check wiring plugs and good and tight at the switch and see if that helps or changes the behavior for now, T

It sounds like you may have an overheated connection somewhere that makes contact as it warms up. Access the motor before starting the truck and when the truck first starts, wiggle the wires around to see if you can trigger it to come on. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
