Moved a post?? Sign In

Hi - I moved a post from the truck section and the car was an 88 Pontiac asking how to replace an"O" ring. What shows up now in the truck section says "remove" which makes it look like a DELETED post and doesn't say where it went.??

I checked and it was the person's first post, they might have been confused and I did a reply to it asking for more info as post was too vague to get any help. I did click on it and found it where I sent it - hope I didn't mess anything up.

Please advise if I did anything wrong - I want the poster's to be happy with results here, Tom

Hi Tom.... I saw that ;-)

You did it all right, its pretty easy to manage the post here.

The reason you see the (remove) is we (admins-modirators) have the option to remove the trailer left behind to help redirect users.... to the posts new location. This is hidden to the everyone else. Try loging out and looking at the post.

If you click the (remove) link it will ask you if you want to remove the pointer to the new location of the post....
This WILL NOT remove the post, just this pointer link.

I normally leave them up for a few days then remove them if I see them again.

Good question...

Moved another post from "Open Area" to General Discussions as there were no responses for a few days now. It was the inquiry about bad gas and Oxygen sensors. I'm really pleased to see this site grow - think I just saw 242 registered members and growing!!

May I be so bold as to suggest a small ad in Cool Profit$ Magazine, about this site, circulation is chiefly to A/C pros., but has pretty good circulationc to well targeted pros and is a well done mag. Contact John Hess, at ImCool@ImCool.com . I don't think this site will be the A/C site but pros and novices could benefit. I'm an optimist, and think sites CAN cooperate. FYI, the magazine is only $7.50US a year!

Best always,
