Car stereo doesn't work

So I have an after market stereo, and it's worked great until yesterday. I have 1 sub connected and I had two little speakers connected to it. I disconnected my smaller speakers out and when I was taking the audio wires off of the stereo, it died. I have checked every fuse in my fuse box and the fuse on the back of the stereo. I also checked to make sure all of the wires were connected to the correct wires. I think it might just be my stereo died, but I wanted some help. Ford ranger 2006 two wheel drive

twist the battery constant and ignition power wires together and hook them to a jumper wire from your battery. Hook the black ground wire to the ground of the battery. If it lights up you have a good deck and need to see what is going on with your wiring. If nothing happens the deck is fried.

Thank you for your help, I didn't use your method, but for some reason my stereo works. My friend messed with it and he doesn't know what he did.

You have a loose connection. If the wires are twisted together and taped up, get rid of that mess. Soldering covered with heat shrink is how I do it and yields the least amount of distortion on speaker wires too. I know you can find a YouTube vid showing you how to do it. In the meantime buy your friend a beer. You owe him one. If you haven't drank too many yourself drive to central WI and bring me one.
