Key stuck in ignition

Hello, I have a 2016 Chevy Equinox and the ignition key broke. The key still works if you put the silver part with the teeth back into the fob and I rarely drive this car so didn't get it fixed. Today I put the wrong end in the fob and put it in the ignition, and I can't get it out. Seriously I barely put it in but it will not come out. Any ideas?

Sounds like it's time for a locksmith. Make sure the lock is all the way off before you try to get the key out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Of course. That's his job. He may have to take it apart but he can do whatever is necessary without breaking it.
