Hey, I'm not sure if this is in the correct section or not, sorry if it isn't. I'm wondering if anyone has a link or can help me with how to isolate engine noise & vibrations and diag the noise / vibration. Working on my ASE Certification and have been looking stuff up but for some reason I'm not finding anything on this. Any help would be appreciated.

That's how you pass your ASE's? Google? There's only one answer that I know..............experience. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

? Same thoughts. IDK what rules for taking the original, first test(s) are today but you needed at least 2 years of working in the trade or 1 year if successfully graduated from an accredited "vocational" school counted as 1 year of experience. Yes, hands on time before taking tests or you can't take them for any of the mechanical anything they do now also have one for managing/service writer if you will. Noises sure where discussed in school and tried to duplicate it on a real vehicle or find one with a problem show you and test it out yourself. Sport, things you may do to vehicles are not trial and error you prove you can do it or I had to. Do you want medical Doctors getting Board Certified without years of doing it before on a live person? I think not realistic no matter how high tech things are for learning it's not doing it = experience as HT said, T
