I have a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander and every time I turn the ac on it blows the clutch fuse. I've replaced the ac compressor and it still hasn't fixed it. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong

? This is to say you replaced the compressor because of blowing a fuse? Why? OK: Did new compressor come with a complete new clutch ready to go or what did you do? Ohm check the clutch coil you want about 4.5 ohms just sitting there unplugged. If higher or lots higher it's shorted but not two different coils if so. Don't forget turning on A/C also enables fans so may have to trace back if that where the short is. Try this: Unplug compressor's clutch coil is that plug and see if it still blows the fuse if short of test equipment then you know it had nothing to do with the compressor or clutch - separate items just they are together, T

That fuse powers the relay, which in turn powers the clutch. You can have a short if the wire leading to the relay (not likely if only blows when AC turned on), the relay itself or the wire from the relay to the compressor. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Like HT says.....You have a short......I'm not sure if you are going to check this out or take it in......If you are taking it in, there is no point posting the tests to run....
