1999 F250 V10 lack of power????	Sign In

First of all, i love my V10 and have another diesel pickup so no need for anyone to tel me to go buy one

My V10 just doesnt seem to have any power pulling or when i try to bring the RPM's up. I know these engines were made to get their torque and power from high rpm's so I know something isnt right. It is a manual btw.
I can pull a 6000 lb horse trailer and even a small hill will cause me to downshift and barely run at 55 mph. I know of the head problem and replaced them upon purchasing the truck.
Even empty this truck will barely get above 70 mph. It has 140k miles. It just seems to stall out above 2500 rpm

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance

Start out with having the codes read and post the numbers here.

It doesnt have a check engine light on or anything that would indicate a code affecting it. im thinking it has to be fuel/air related?

That doesn't matter. Check the codes anyway.
