hello guys. I am new in this forum and i dont really know how things work. I recently bought a Fiat Grande Punto 2007 and i realised that AC was blowing only hot air. My first thought was that it needs rechange, so I did. After the recharge it still didnt work and the guy there told me that it may be a compresor problem and no power was going into the compresor. We changed the relay but as soon as i turned on the car the relay burned out, this happend 2-3 times. and also i hear a ticking sound , it maybe an eletrical discharge or something. So can any of you tell me what may be the problem? thank you

Sounds like you need a better mechanic. He should have easily found the problem before going through 3 relays. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Which part of the relay is burning up? Relays usually don't do that unless the circuit isn't protected by a fuse and you have a short to ground after the relay. Even then the wiring may burn up before the relay is some cases. You should have another mechanic check it out. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
