My 2013 Mazda cx5 AWD had a P1887 code come up. The 4WD light was on steady. I replaced the coupling unit and the light went off. My AWD isn’t engageing and now the 4WD flashes. I shut the engine off and restart it and the light goes off, but each time I try to see if the AWD will engage the 4WD starts flashing again. HELP!!!!!

The P1887 is an issue with a solenoid circuit. There should be a sub number after the code ie; 11,12,13 or 14 which will point to which solenoid. Our trans expert Gary should be along sometime but try to get that additional info for him first. He can then help you with how much of a problem this will be. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
