gear shift question Sign In

hello, i got an 84 regal it has the gear shift on the steering columm and i want 2 put it
on the floor is this a good idea or should i leave as is. ( Please list Pro and Cons if there are any)
Going 4 A Grand National look minus da motor.

squinky; It can be done, but you'll be cutting a hole in the floorboard. I'd just leave it as it is. Sorry, but you did ask.Smile

Agree - I wouldn't do it. If that same body was available with the console shift then find all the parts for one from a salvage yard. You may find that metal stamping of floor metal is already marked to cut for proper fit with OE parts. Still wouldn't bother but your call,
