My dad is removing 2-turbos out of this truck or do a EGR Delete Removal Kit, and he would like a second opinion on the step-by-step process. He would appreciate it if anyone had the time to type it out. The truck is a V8 power stroke with a 6.4 twin turbo diesel, 2007 Ford Super Duty F-250 XLT. Thank you to whomever helps us.

You certain about this being an 07 with a 6.4? My listings only show a 6.0 in 07. What are the 8th and 10th digits of the VIN? Did this kit come with any tech info?

It seems that i was wrong. the truck was made in 07. so it is actually an 08. the eighth digit is an 8 and the tenth digit is an E. he hasn't gotten the kit yet. he wants info to know if its even worth attempting this job or to take it to someone else.

I'm afraid you have that quite wrong too. The tenth digit is actually the year and there is no year "E" and there is no engine code "E" or "8" in 08 either. The 8th digit is the engine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

you are right, i am all messed up but have it right now! okay; the eighth digit is an R. the tenth digit is an 8. i should note that this is numerical order from left to right. on the other hand, reading the numbers from right to left, the eighth digit is 8. the tenth digit is then an R. Dad is a diesel bus mechanic so they always read the last eight digits. thank you for your patience and corrections.

I don't have that truck on my database, but I think he should go to www.alldatadiy.com and get a year subscription to his vehicle. Its factory level repair information and as a diesel mechanic he should be able to understand it. A subscription is about $25 per vehicle he wants access to the info for. Well worth it and I think it will make things a lot easier to do this job.
